What is Small Group Training?

Small Group Training is a mix of hardstyle kettlebell, barbell, and bodyweight training taught in a 6-8 person group setting at United Strength located in Columbus, Ohio. Kara’s training program is designed to get you stronger and more knowledge on how to properly strength train. Kara accepts all fitness levels from beginner to advanced.

  • Workouts are strategically programmed each week in 5-week phases. New members can only join at the start of a new phase. The entire year is programmed to give you endless results, accountability, and most importantly... FUN!

  • While each session is different, Kara creates a sense of routine each and every time you're in the gym. You can expect:

    • Mobility warm-up

    • Movement prep

    • Main strength exercises

    • Conditioning circuit

    • Cool down

    Sessions are 55-minutes long.

    Kara believes no one is too beginner or too advanced for the basics. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join.

  • Kara's training offers a unique experience. Members must commit to a day and time each week. There is a high commitment level when enrolling to work with Kara.

    There is a 24-hour cancellation/make-up policy.

    Unlimited misses/make-ups are allowed; however, it is HIGHLY encouraged to not miss your sessions. Each and every workout is planned to make you stronger and a skilled mover. Friendships and bonds are made during the sessions by seeing familiar faces each and every week. If you're looking for accountability, this is for you.

    The best way to describe what Kara has curated is it feels like a "club". Did you play sports or were you involved in clubs as a kid? If you did, you know how important practice was. That is what Kara's training is like!

  • Every member gets access to Kara's TrainHeroic app free of charge. You will get access to every workout.

    You will use the app to record weight being used, reps, and more! Kara will show you how to use the app during your first session.

    *Please note, while the app is extremely useful, it is NOT required.

  • Members must commit to a reoccurring day and time each week. It is recommended you do 2-4 sessions each week.

    Kara has sessions every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from

    • 5:30-6:25am

    • 6:30-7:25am

    • 8:30-9:25am

    • 9:30-10:25am

    If a session is full, you can join the waitlist and be notified immediately when a spot becomes available. Sessions are first come, first serve.

    • Mondays = Push Exercises

    • Tuesdays = Pull Exercises

    • Wednesdays = Kettlebell Push Exercises

    • Fridays = Kettlebell Pull Exercises

    Every workout is full body focused and each week is programmed to have every workout compliment each other.

  • Payments are made via a software app called XplorTriib. All members must create a login and add a CC on file. Kara handles everything else from there!

    • 4x/week = $400/month ($25/session)

    • 3x/week = $360/month ($30/session)

    • 2x/week = $260/month ($32/session)

    Every member must pay an additional training fee of $25 which is required by the gym. The personal training fee is taxed and will be taken out automatically on a reoccurring date each month.
